In short

Beauty Dispatch is a booking and payments platform. The services are performed by independent professionals, not by us. We hold your payment until both sides confirm the job is done, and we help settle payment disputes — but we are not responsible or liable for what happens between a customer and a professional. Signing below is required to book or to work on the platform.

1. What Beauty Dispatch is

Beauty Dispatch operates a marketplace that helps customers find and book independent beauty, health and fitness professionals, and helps those professionals collect payment. We are a technology and payments platform only.

We do not provide beauty, health, fitness, medical or personal-care services of any kind. Every service booked through the platform is provided by an independent professional acting on their own account, using their own skills, products, equipment, insurance and licences.

2. Independent professionals, not our employees or agents

Professionals on the platform are independent contractors. They are not employees, partners, agents or representatives of Beauty Dispatch, and we do not supervise, direct or control how, when or where they perform a service, what products or techniques they use, or the results they achieve.

Professionals set their own prices, choose the services they offer, and control their own availability. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, joint venture, franchise or agency relationship.

3. No responsibility for what happens between a customer and a professional

Any booking is a direct agreement between the customer and the professional. Beauty Dispatch is not a party to it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beauty Dispatch is not responsible or liable for any act, omission, dispute, delay, no-show, cancellation, misrepresentation, injury, illness, allergic or chemical reaction, infection, property damage, theft, loss, harassment, discrimination, unlawful conduct, unsatisfactory result, or any other harm arising out of or connected with a service booked through the platform or any interaction between a customer and a professional — whether it happens before, during or after the appointment, online or in person, at a customer's home or at a professional's location.

You agree that any claim of that kind is between you and the other party, and that you will pursue it directly with them and not with Beauty Dispatch. Our resolution centre and refund tools are offered as a courtesy to help settle payment disputes; using them does not make us responsible for the underlying service or conduct, and our decision on a payment dispute is final as to the payment only.

4. No verification guarantee

We ask professionals for a licence or certification, government ID and, where relevant, insurance, and we review those documents before approving an application. A "verified" badge means only that we received documents that appeared valid at the time of review.

It is not a guarantee, endorsement, warranty or certification by Beauty Dispatch of a professional's identity, qualifications, licensing status, insurance, background, skill, safety, hygiene or the quality of any service. Customers are responsible for satisfying themselves that a professional is suitable for them, and for disclosing any allergy, medical condition, medication, pregnancy, injury or sensitivity before a service begins.

5. Health, safety and assumption of risk

Beauty, body and fitness services carry inherent risks, including skin and scalp reactions, chemical burns, hair damage, cuts, infection, muscle strain, sprains, cardiac events and other injury. By booking or providing a service through the platform you knowingly and voluntarily accept those risks.

Customers should seek advice from a qualified medical professional before starting any fitness or treatment programme. Nothing on the platform is medical advice.

In-person services often take place in private homes. Both sides are responsible for their own safety, for the safety of their premises, and for complying with all applicable laws while on the other party's property.

6. Payments, the 25% platform fee, and payouts

Prices are set by each professional. When a customer books, the full amount plus any tip is authorised on their payment method and held.

Funds are released only after the professional marks the service complete and the customer confirms it. On release, the professional receives 75% of the service price plus 100% of the tip, and Beauty Dispatch retains 25% of the service price as a platform fee. Payment processing is carried out by our payments provider under its own terms; card and bank details are handled by that provider, not stored by us.

If a dispute is opened, funds remain held until it is closed. Refunds, partial refunds and releases are applied at our reasonable discretion under the published cancellation policy. Professionals are solely responsible for their own taxes, licences, registrations and insurance, and for reporting their income.

7. Cancellations, no-shows and rescheduling

Bookings can be made instantly or up to 48 hours in advance. Advance requests must be accepted by the professional within the response window or they are automatically declined and the hold released.

Cancellations are governed by the cancellation policy shown at checkout and in your bookings. Late cancellations and no-shows may result in a partial or full charge, or in suspension of the account responsible.

8. Reviews, ratings and automatic suspension

Reviews must be honest, first-hand and lawful. We may remove content that is false, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, unlawful, or that reveals another person's private information.

Professionals may leave private notes and ratings about customers that are visible to other professionals on the platform for safety and reliability purposes. Customers may request a copy of information held about them as set out in the privacy statement.

Any account whose average rating falls below 2.5 stars after at least two ratings is automatically suspended pending human review. We may also suspend, restrict or remove any account at any time, with or without notice, including where we suspect fraud, unsafe conduct, unlicensed practice or any breach of these terms.

9. Your promises to us

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you give us is true and current, and that you will use the platform only for lawful purposes.

Professionals additionally confirm that they hold and will maintain every licence, certification, registration, permit and insurance required for the services they offer in the jurisdictions where they work; that they will comply with all applicable health, safety, sanitation, employment, tax and consumer-protection laws; and that they will not work while suspended, impaired or otherwise unfit to do so.

You will not take payment or arrange services off-platform to avoid fees, harass or discriminate against anyone, upload documents that are not your own, or attempt to interfere with the platform's security.

10. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the availability, accuracy or suitability of any professional or service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beauty Dispatch, its owners, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost earnings, lost data, personal injury, emotional distress or reputational harm, arising from or connected with the platform or any service booked through it.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the total platform fees we actually retained from the specific booking that gave rise to the claim, or (b) 100 US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for our own fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Release and indemnity

You release Beauty Dispatch from all claims, demands, losses and damages of every kind, known and unknown, arising out of or connected with any dispute or incident between you and a professional, a customer, or any other platform user.

You agree to indemnify and hold Beauty Dispatch harmless against any claim, liability, loss, damage, fine, penalty, cost or legal fee arising from your use of the platform, the services you provide or receive, your breach of these terms, your infringement of anyone's rights, or your failure to hold a required licence or insurance.

12. Disputes with us, arbitration and class-action waiver

If you have a problem with Beauty Dispatch, contact us first and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

If that fails, you and Beauty Dispatch agree that any dispute with us will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in the District of Columbia under the rules of a recognised arbitration provider, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court where it qualifies.

You and Beauty Dispatch each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective or representative action against the other. This section does not apply to disputes between a customer and a professional, which remain solely between them.

13. Electronic signature

Typing your full legal name and submitting the acceptance form on this page is your electronic signature. You agree it has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature, that you are the person named, and that you have read and accept these terms and the privacy statement.

We record your name, the version of the document you signed, the date and time, and the device you signed from, as proof of acceptance. You may request a copy of that record at any time.

14. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes are published here with a new version date, and continued use of the platform, or a new signature where we ask for one, means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

Questions about these terms can be sent to us through the in-app messaging or resolution centre. These terms are a plain-language agreement and not legal advice; we recommend a licensed attorney reviews them before you rely on them commercially.
